ANDREA & ALEX ELOPE in the BAHAMAS

When Andrea called me and asked me to photograph their Bahamas elopement, I simply said, “When do we leave?” There wasn’t a moment of hesitation. I had already photographed these two during my couples’ gifted guest sessions from their friend’s wedding I was photographing in Costa Rica. From the second we wrapped that session, I knew I’d follow them anywhere to capture their love story.

Costa Rica was magic—lush, adventurous, wild. But the Bahamas? The Bahamas was intimate.
Just the three of us. No audience, no timelines, no wedding-day rush. Just Andrea, Alex, the ocean breeze, and every beautiful emotion that comes with choosing each other in the simplest, most meaningful way.

And as much as I was their photographer, I quickly became so much more. I was Andrea’s entire getting-ready girl squad—hair helper, bouquet fluffer, hype woman, and dress-buttoning assistant. These are the moments I treasure most as a photographer: being invited into the soft, quiet, vulnerable spaces where the real stories happen.

Their ceremony was effortless and genuine. The rainfall whispered on the window in the background while they said their vows, and I got to sign as their witness on their marriage license—something that still makes my heart swell. Not every job lets you be the only one standong beside two people as they choose forever, but this one did.

And because the day was theirs to shape however they wanted, we closed the night in the most perfectly unplanned way: dancing under the lights of Atlantis while a live band played. Andrea barefoot, Alex beaming, the three of us laughing like we’d just lived the plot of a rom-com.

It wasn’t just an elopement. It was a friendship, an adventure, and a reminder that love doesn’t need a crowd to be unforgettable. Andrea & Alex—thank you for trusting me with your memories once again. From Costa Rica to the Bahamas and anywhere else life takes you, I’ll always be ready with a camera and a suitcase.

So… where are we going next?
